Prof. Dr. Karsten Krüger
Karsten Krüger is Professor of Exercise Physiology and Sport Therapy at the Justus Liebig University of Giessen. He serves as spokesperson of the WVL-project in:prove, Editor-in-Chief of the journal "Exercise Immunology Review" and Executive Director of the Institute of Sport Science. His research focuses on exercise immunology and molecular and cellular adaptation processes to exercise and training. His Keynote lecture will focus on holistic and transdisciplinary process optimisation in elite sport with a physiology-centric view on the in:prove-project.

Prof. Dr. Jan Wilke
Jan Wilke is a Professor of Movement Science and the Director of the Institute of Sports Sciences at the University of Klagenfurt (Austria). His research focuses on the exercise-induced adaptation of the connective tissue and the role of neurocognitive function in musculoskeletal injury. Jan holds PhD's in Sports Science and Theoretical Medicine and, besides his academic career, has been a conditioning coach of high-level athletes such as the former Wimbledon champion, Angelique Kerber. Is keynote revolving around the fascinating topic of exercise and the fascia provides insight into new findings on fascia and performance.
